Not sure we quite have the players to play a false 9 but looks like our hand has been forced. Any guesses who will be playing (at least nominally) up top?

Looks like Madger, we need to give him some slack if thats the case, it is not his position

Gomes will be up front. Surprised fej isn’t in the squad at all with AB saying he was available and hope bogle isn’t out too long, probs tired after playing 90 mins for the last 4/5 games but thought he would at least be on the bench. Be interesting to see how we play without a recognised striker, whether madger will play as a false 9 or not but In Butler I Trust.

Gomes or Coppinger perhaps, or even a fluid rotation?

I'm glad Lokilo has finally been given a chance to start.

Think Richards will play up front , strong can beat a man and get a shot away

Tyreece's twitter shows him running today. At least that is some positive news going forward. We are down to the bare bones tonight though.

Hopefully that front four can interchange and pull the defence all over the place

You'd have to drop one of Sims, Richards, smith, balcombe or Robertson though....

With  5 loans in the squad then Simoes can’t play

Wow. Gomes' movement around the box has come on leaps and bounds this season but enough to do a job as striker? Nobody's fault I suppose, but hope he surprises me.

No recognised striker worked alright for Spain I suppose. No xavi and iniesta pulling the strings but we have Copps who is close enough.

Crewe commentary saying we're a big (height) side - I wouldn't have described us as that?
