Why not just wish the man a speedy recovery lol

If he has it I wish him well, but I’m not remotely convinced he has it

How come only the rich, privileged and famous only get mild symptoms? Because apparently the majority who get it only get mild symptoms

Boris Johnson is now saying he may have to tighten restrictions because we’re not being disciplined enough to halt the spread of a virus that a fortnight ago he was telling us all to catch, because herds... it’s such a naked attempt to wriggle out of responsibility

He was reported as saying on 9 March that he thought the whole thing was being blown out of all proportion.

Mind, he also said when business was pointing out the damage that Brexit would do "f**k business".

He doesn't tend to think about consequences much, does he?

Downing Street calls in election gurus to overhaul coronavirus comms

So now we know where all those identical Facebook posts
“I didn’t vote for Boris.... but he’s doing a good job” come from.

Taxpayer money to set up fake Facebook accounts to gull us

Another two and a half minute video update released tonight by Boris, not one hint of a cough, hardly paused for breath as usual, has he really got cv19?

You have to pay when you get someone to set up thousands of fake FB accounts to put out lying propaganda.

It would be stupid and crass to fake it..

I don’t like his policies but that’s as far as it goes, the rest isn’t personal.

And johnson isn't stupid or crass aye?  :)

BBC R4 9am headline:

‘Boris Johnson has promised to ramp up testing for Coronavirus’

-He also promised it on March 12. And on March 19.

But it hasn’t happened.

Boris is still presenting Symptoms of CV19, back into hiding for another week then, how convenient!

With Johnson's election comms team having been re-hired, look out for:

- many more PM-supportive posts on social media
- the further exploitation of the daily briefings as party political broadcasts
- more stage managed videos designed to neutralise criticism and win sympathy

I found which ward he's on but he didn't answer when I rang to wish him well, probably asleep, so I kept ringing just in case  :)

I can't help but wonder how many Fred the factory workers or Pearl the pensioners have the same symptoms as Boris the Bullshitter but haven't been admitted to ICU "just in case they need a ventilator".

Given his past form for lying and deception, how can anyone trust what he says, any how it’s not the time to make petty point scoring posts, I was obviously wrong, and hold my hands up, I dislike his policies and what he stands for, but I also wish him well and hope he makes a full recovery

Really?? What's looking pretty foolish is walking, around a corona virus ward, shaking hands(against all expert advice),and then bragging about it in a presser, whilst at the same time not keeping a safe distance from other ministers. Now that really was stupid.
I wish him no ill,but the man is a fool. A leopard cant change its spots.

Worse than a fool. As PM, saying that was stupidly irresponsible.

As you say, I wish him no ill. But his stupidly boorish approach to CV-19 a month ago, not setting an example as he had a responsibility to do will have led to many other people not taking this seriously, and many other people being in ICU today.

I'll repeat again, I absolutely wish Johnson no ill. But there is a lesson in all of this and it is as old as Time.

Homer wrote about it.

Shakespeare wrote about it.

Hubris and Nemesis.

Hubris: Stupid over-confidence and arrogance. That was precisely what Johnson showed a month ago when he was bragging about shaking hands with people at a CV-19 ward.

Nemesis: The Goddess of Retribution. Sent to pay a lesson to those who display Hubris.

I truly hope Johnson recovers, but whether he does or not, his stupid comments a month ago will have directly led to many other people not taking this virus seriously and dying. And that, from a PM, is utterly unforgivable. No-one should forget that.

Boris has left hospital, on Easter Sunday, a modern day resurection, 72 hours in Intensive Care and 48 hours on a general ward, remarkable and now against Government instructions, he’s toddling off to his second home. How far is Chequers away from St Thomas hospital compared to the top floor apartment at Downing Street?
