Press conference any minute with the lying clown and the brothers Grimm alongside. Always bad news.

I'm not sure on this plan b, what is the difference between going the cinema and going to the pub?

Masks to be worn in cinema and theatre and in restaurants when not sat down eating.
The biggy is crowds of over 10k at footy grounds. Which we have a potential one coming up in Sunderland.

On this. Is the rule based on the capacity of the ground the game is being played at or the actual crowd attendance at any given match?

If it is the latter, i cannot see how it can possibly be done.

Also, Whitty. Saying that the boosters will hold the Omicron until they have tweaked the NEXT booster! Hahaha. Pin cushions r us. No point in having this booster then if there will be a specific one along in a few months. Where is the long term data for having like 4 Covid jabs in a year?

Unbelievable. Roll up! Roll up!

It’s based on attendees. Nothing to do with capacity.
Rovers saving grace could be the current low crowds.
However, you will know Sunderland are more than capable of shifting 4 k for this. North stand plus the bit of east stand. That only leaves 6 k for home supporters before it rips into plan b measures.
I would not like the club to fall foul of any sanctions if they turned a blind eye to this to then be found to be breaching the rules.

The only other way round this would be to limit ticket sales to 10k.

It’s based on attendees. Nothing to do with capacity.

How will the club know how many are attending when tickets are sold right up to kick off and the attendance isn't given until the match has kicked off?

Also, when we go away to the likes of Sunderland, a vaccine passport is needed?

If plan b measures are still in play for the away game then yes. Speak to those who went to Ipswich. Which was strictly ticket only , which were not avail on the day if I recall.

The point of getting a booster now is to increase the amount of antibodies we have.

The existing vacinne does offer some protection and the more antibodies we have the more effective that protection is.

It will take months to get an omicron specific version tested and manufactured at scale. By then it will be summer and infection rates lower. Realistically it's probably not going to be something that's useful until next autumn.

I agree. It will come. Along with kids too unless they can't go to school. Home learning for us then.

Nobody is forcing me or my kid to have a jab without sustaining injuries.

Well, we will enjoy the cinema on Sunday without masks.

Merry Christmas everyone! Sunderland here we come!

Fairly sensible things.  Are gigs exempt from masks though given singing???

I'd already told my team to work from home where they can until at least christmas so it's no Biggie for us.  I didn't really need Boris to make that decision for me as it's just obvious.

As for CDH you're just selfish.  You are right that nobody should force you to wear a mask but you're quite happy to force your unvaccinated breath on the rest of us aren't you?

Once again, i will explain.

The jabbed are just an infectious as the unjabbed.

Vaccinated breath v Unvaccinated breath. There is no difference.

Yes, i am selfish. That make you feel better?

If you are un vaccinated, and unwilling to take a test, what makes you think you will be going to the Sunderland game ?

That's not right CDH, the jabbed are less likely to contract the virus and if they do catch it they are less likely to pass it on.

You're right, NR, Sunderland will easily sell their allocation, but I believe the capacity for away fans, including the corner section of the East Stand, was reduced from 4200 to 3700. I could be wrong of course.

Plus, the game is live on Sky Sports, which will potentially lower the amount of home fans. I very much doubt that there'll be 10000 there.

In which case, the decision to limit ticket sales to 10k should be an easy one for the club. And it should be strictly ticket only, with no sales on the day.
I would not want the club to fall foul by taking a chance.

Nightclubs have been closed in France for Christmas due to the spread.

Only vaccinated people have been allowed into nightclubs in France up to now but hey, jabbed people don't spread Covid do they?  ;)

So - you shouldn't go to work with people you normally work with unless you absolutely have to.

But its fine to have a works party with the people you shouldn't be working with.

I mean the science says otherwise but hey ho.  I think we all have a moral responsibility so no, it does annoy me to be honest that people can't just deal with the simplest thing that won't impact their lives at all to maybe save the life of another.

Daft isn't it?  I understand mitigating the risk but mass gatherings indoors feel a little silly as this thing grows. Of course the economy is a factor.

Of course jabbed people can spread the virus.

But not as much as the unvaccinated do.
